Are you new to Zog?

Take to the skies with Zog the big orange dragon, Doctor Princess Pearl and Sir Gadabout the Great as they soar across the land, caring for all their fantastical friends. Aimed at 4-6 year olds, this animated fantasy series is about caring for yourself, for othersand for the weird and wonderful world around you.

The series features characters from the films Zog and Zog and the Flying Doctors, based on the books by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, but don't worry if you haven't seen them. You and your little one can watch the series as a standalone programme. But if you love Zog and want to learn all about Zog's time at Dragon School or how Doctor Princess Pearl and Sir Gadabout the Great became doctors, the films work brilliantly as prequels to the series.

Meet Zog

Does your little one love dragons?

At the heart of this amazing series is a big, loveable, orange dragon called Zog whose empathetic nature makes patients feel at ease. He is energetic and tries his hardest at everything he pursues.

Zog is desperate to play his part in the team and has less confidence in his abilities than Pearl or Gadabout. He doesn’t think things through as much as the others with potentially disastrous results, but on the flip side Zog’s simpler, direct approach is sometimes just what the doctors need.

Meet Doctor Princess Pearl

Just what the doctor ordered!

Doctor Princess Pearl is a brave, passionate doctor who loves nothing more than rolling up her sleeves and getting her hands dirty. She delights in anything grimy and slimy - it’s all science to her!

Pearl is insatiably curious which makes her a wonderful doctor and friend, able to find out what’s wrong and make others feel better. She brings a playfulness and creativity to treating patients, knowing that a visit to the doctors is not always fun.

Meet Sir Gadabout the Great

A noble knight ready to help!

Sir Gadabout the Great uses his swashbuckling flair to wrap bandages and shape slings with style. He takes pride in helping patients on a daily basis and he loves being part of the flying doctors. He wasn’t a natural knight so is thrilled to have found a strong affinity for being a doctor. However, his knightly training has left him in good stead for emergency situations, where he jumps into action.

Gadabout is keen to prove himself and will proclaim he’s absolutely got something under control when he hasn’t - he’s not the best at showing weakness or asking for help.
