The family of a nurse who was killed in a crash with a van say they are "overwhelmed by the outpouring of love" for her.

Sarah Jayne Crook, 38, from Cirencester, died when a Vauxhall Vivaro van collided with her Toyota Aygo on the A419 near the White Hart roundabout in Swindon on Friday.

In a tribute, her family said: "We lost an amazing wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend, to a tragic collision."

Wiltshire Police said the van driver had no reported serious injuries and no arrests had been made.

A fund-raising campaign set up on Saturday to support Crook's family, which said she leaves behind a husband and six children, has raised almost £26,000.

The family's statement said: "We've been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and respect for her and the support for ourselves.

"We would like to say thank you to the hundreds of people who have sent condolences and memories of her."

The family called for their privacy to be respected and said that details of the funeral would be announced soon.
