Water supplies return to normal after pipe repair
BBCRepairs to a burst water main have been finished, with supplies returning to normal.
The burst pipe at Sutton Courtenay on Monday meant those in the OX14 postcode area had no water or low pressure.
Thames Water brought in tankers to add water to keep taps flowing while the pipe was fixed. The water firm said the work took longer than expected after extensive digging was needed to reach the ruptured pipe and the presence of newts.
It said those in the affected area may have lower pressure and water may be rusty, white or milky in colour as it first returned and apologised for the inconvenience.
