Arsonist set car on fire then tried to torch house

Police have asked for the public's help to trace the arsonist

An arsonist who torched a Range Rover and attempted to set fire to a house is being hunted by police.

Officers said the man, described as short and with a slim build, set fire to the black Range Rover at 01:46 BST on Sunday.

The same person also attempted to set light to a nearby house on Cooks Wood Road in Burngreave, Sheffield.

No-one was injured and South Yorkshire Police asked anyone with information, dashcam footage or CCTV to get in touch.
