Two men have been arrested after three people were injured during a "large fight" in a city centre, police have said.

The fight happened on Calenick Street in Truro at about 13:45 BST, with armed officers dispatched to the scene after reports a "bladed article" was used, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

The force said one man suffered "a potentially serious injury" while two other men had minor injuries.

A police spokesperson said two men in their 20s were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Anyone with information or relevant footage was asked to contact investigating officers.

"Those involved are believed to be known to each other and there is no wider threat to the public," said the police spokesperson.
