Three charged with gun murder of 'loved' dad
Cleveland PoliceThree people have been charged with the murder of a man who was shot last weekend.
Peter Phillips, 47, was found dead at Ayton Crescent in Eston, near Middlesbrough, on Saturday at about 23:00 BST. Cleveland Police said he died from a single gunshot wound.
In a tribute, his relatives said: "Peter had a big family who all loved him, he was the heart and soul of our family."
Tony Gaffney from Ambrose Road, Middlesbrough, and Jonathon Spencer from Normanby Road, Middlesbrough, both 39, and Annaliese McQuilling from Ayton Crescent , Eston, 38, have been charged with murder and appeared at Teesside Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
They will next appear at Teesside Crown Court on Friday.
A man aged 29 who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been bailed pending further inquiries.
