Appeal after chainsaws and crowbars used in break-in
Nottinghamshire PolicePolice are appealing for information after burglars cut through a shop's shutters in an early-morning break-in in Sutton-in-Ashfield.
Nottinghamshire Police said they responded to reports of the burglary at Co-op on Alfreton Road at about 03:15 BST on 11 September.
A force statement said about £2,000 was stolen "after intruders used chainsaws and crowbars to cut through the metal shutters outside the store".
Two people dressed in black, with balaclavas covering their faces, were reportedly seen breaking into the shop "before fleeing from the scene on electric bikes soon after".
On Friday, police released CCTV images in a bid to trace the suspects
PC Mason Beall said: "Our hope is that releasing these images - taken during and in the aftermath of the burglary - will lead to someone sharing some information.
"If anyone knows anything at all about this incident, including who they believe could've been behind it, we'd ask that they please do the right thing and report this to the police."
