A pedestrian was taken to hospital after being hit by a bus in Nottingham city centre.

Police were called to Upper Parliament Street at 08:52 BST on Tuesday.

The man was taken to hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-altering or life-threatening, Nottinghamshire Police said.

The road was closed and tram services between Old Market Square and Royal Centre suspended.

Tram operator Nottingham Express Transit confirmed at 09:55 that services had restarted, but warned of longer waiting times.
