A man has been jailed for a total of 12 years after he was convicted of rape, alongside multiple other offences - including harassment and exposure.

Mike Loveridge, of Newbury Road, Didcot, Oxfordshire, was found guilty of three counts of rape in relation to one victim, following a trial at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court in September.

The 18-year-old was also convicted for additional offences, including harassment, committed against other victims between April and May 2026.

During a hearing at Oxford Crown Court on 29 October, Loveridge was sentenced to eight years in prison with a four year extension period.

He was also made the subject of five restraining orders, as well as an indefinite animal disqualification order - preventing him from keeping or caring for horses.

'Significant harm'

Thames Valley Police said Loveridge had subjected one of his victims to serious sexual violence and controlling behaviour between January and June this year.

Det Con Angelique Lihou, from Thames Valley Police, said: "Mike Loveridge's offending was serious, persistent and caused significant harm to a number of victims."

This, the force said, included isolating the victim, making threats, subjecting her to violence and intimidation, and creating an atmosphere of fear.

Police said on one particular occasion, the 18-year-old had contacted a funeral director whilst with his victim to arrange her funeral.

For part of this time, Loveridge was also subjecting other women to separate abuse.

In relation to his first victim, a jury found him guilty of three counts of rape and one count of controlling and coercive behaviour.

He was also found guilty of causing a female aged 13 or over to engage in sexual activity without consent, exposure, and causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal.

The jury also found the 18-year-old had committed offences against other victims, and found him guilty of one count each of harassment and harassment by breaching a restraining order.

Loveridge was also convicted of sending grossly offensive, indecent or menacing communications and intimidating a witness.
