Teenager arrested after boy, 13, seriously injured
Getty ImagesA teenager has been arrested after a 13 year-old boy was seriously injured when a car hit his bike in Birmingham.
West Midlands Police were called to St Andrews Road at 20:40 BST on Friday, to reports that the young boy had been injured and the driver of the vehicle had fled the scene.
A 19-year-old was arrested shortly after, on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and remains in police custody. The force is appealing for witnesses or CCTV footage in relation to the incident.
It said the boy was taken to hospital with suspected life-threatening injuries and remains there in a serious condition.
