Police make IOPC referral after teen biker injured
GoogleA biker has been seriously injured in a crash, after he was allegedly seen attacking a vehicle while holding weapons.
Devon and Cornwall Police said it was called to North Hill in Plymouth at about 23:40 GMT on Thursday after an electric motorbike and a car crashed. It said 19-year old man remained in hospital.
The force said it made a mandatory referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
Police were also called to the Devonport area, at about the same time, following reports of people on electric motorbikes attacking a vehicle while in possession of weapons. The force said no arrests were made but searches were carried out. It asked any witnesses to get in touch.
