A teenage girl has suffered a leg injury after the scooter she was riding crashed with a car, police said.

West Midlands Police were called to the scene on Ansty Road, Coventry, at about 18:15 BST on Monday.

The girl, 17, was taken to the University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for treatment, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

The driver of the car was spoken to by officers at the scene, the force added.
