Sun sets over the end of Splendour - in 15 photos

Splendour festival in Nottingham was "given the send-off it deserves" as the final event took place with two days of music at Wollaton Hall.

Held in the historic hall's deer park since 2008, the festival regularly attracts up to 25,000 people. In 2022, it was expanded into a two-day event.

But the 2026 edition, headlined by The Wombats and Snow Patrol, was the finale after organisers DHP Family agreed with Nottingham City Council to end the event.

It said the cost of staging events was "rising sharply" at the same time household budgets had come "under pressure".

The 2026 line-up also included Primal Scream, Craig David Presents TS5, Editors, The K's, The Flaming Lips, Hard Life, The Lathums, Estelle, Cast, Neville Staple from The Specials, Kingfishr, The Futureheads, The Pigeon Detectives and The Sugarhill Gang.

George Akins, managing director of DHP Family, had said organisers wanted "to make this year a proper celebration of everything Splendour has meant to Nottingham and give it the send-off it deserves".

"Thanks to everyone for your loyalty and support over the years, we couldn't have done it without you," Akins added.
