Man charged with rape of child in 2011

A man has been charged with raping a child 14 years ago.

Zana Adil Mohammed, of no fixed address, is due to appear before magistrates in Leeds later charged with the offence, reported to have taken place in December 2011, in the Birkby area of Huddersfield.

He has also been charged with two sexual assaults on a male and making indecent images of children.

West Yorkshire Police said the 48-year-old was arrested on Thursday after Kirklees safeguarding officers reinvestigated the incident.
