Scientists are using AI to accelerate the search for treatments for neurological conditions that may be hiding in plain sight. Reporting for BBC Tech Now, Zoe Kleinman visits the UK Dementia Research Institute in Edinburgh, where researchers are using Artificial Intelligence to analyse thousands of existing drugs and identify candidates that could be repurposed for dementia and other neurological disorders. They say the technology is dramatically speeding up a process that would otherwise take years.
