Donkeys enjoy carrot ice lollies during heatwave

Donkeys at a sanctuary have been tucking into giant ice lollies during the hot weather.

The Flicka Foundation Donkey Sanctuary in Penryn, Cornwall, said it prepared the tubs of iced carrots and apples to help keep its groups of donkeys cool.

The sanctuary urged people to keep themselves and their pets safe in the heatwave: "Take care in the heat, you and all your family, two-legged and four."
