Father of house fire murder victims makes direct appeal

A doctor whose family was killed in a house fire in 2012 has made a direct appeal to a mystery letter writer who may hold information on the case.

Essex Police believes Dr Abdul Shakoor's wife and five children were murdered that night in Harlow in October 2012.

Detectives received a letter from an anonymous source last year, shortly after the release of a BBC podcast examining the case.

Shakoor, 59, also told the BBC he feared he may not be alive when the force next reviewed the inquiry in 10 years' time.
