Footage released by a police force captures the moment a plain-clothed officer tackled a man off his bike before arresting him.

Cambridgeshire Police said the suspect was spotted cycling by CCTV operators who alerted officers in Cambridge over the radio on Tuesday.

The man was stopped by the officer who brought him to the ground before uniformed colleagues arrived to assist with his arrest.

The man has since been charged with theft, assault, burglary, failing to appear and public order offences, the force added.
