This 37-acre squirrel reserve could be all yours... for £500k
A tree plantation containing a red squirrel sanctuary in the Yorkshire Dales has been put up for sale by the children of the late landowners.
Jane and Hugh Kemp bought Mirk Pot Woods, a 37-acre woodland near Hawes, in North Yorkshire, in 1967 and turned it into a Christmas tree plantation.
As the conifers grew, red squirrels were attracted to the abundant food supply and the area soon became a stronghold for the endangered species.
It is now on sale for £500,000.
