Teenager with cancer wins with comfort toy creation
A teenager has won a competition which invited children to create a toy to bring them comfort as they are undergoing treatment.
Carter, from South Shields, came up with Harvey the Happy Harp Seal.
The 13-year-old was inspired by his favourite animal and Newcastle United footballer Harvey Barnes, who he met during a visit from the team at The Great North Children's Hospital in Newcastle.
The design will now be made into a microwaveable toy by Warmies and proceeds will go to Cancer Support UK.
