Watch: Cash till robber who threatened staff jailed
CCTV of the moment where a man threatened a shop worker before grabbing cash from a till has been released by police.
Cambridgeshire Constabulary said Henry Evans, of Monkswell in Trumpington, Cambridge, pointed a device which resembled a Taser at a shop assistant, before he stole about £150.
The robbery took place at Tesco Express on Chesterton High Street in May. Weeks before, Evans had also stolen alcohol from supermarkets across Cambridge and caused damage to a vehicle barrier.
The 53-year-old was jailed for three years and two months at Peterborough Crown Court after admitting robbery, three counts of theft from a shop, and criminal damage.
