Jet of water repaired after stop tap failure
Repair teams have successfully tackled a jet of water that was spraying into the air on a residential street.
Affinity Water first received reports of the leak on Princes Mews in Royston, Hertfordshire, at about 15:45 BST on Sunday.
Technicians arrived at the scene at about 16:30 and the repair was completed by 18:30, the company said.
Affinity Water told the BBC the issue was caused by a stop tap failure.
The water company thanked residents for reporting the leak and apologised for any disruption.
