12 crews tackle moorland fire

Firefighters have been tackling a blaze on Bradford moorland that, at its height, was attended by 12 crews.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to Silsden Road at about 15:20 BST on Tuesday and said large jets and specialist vehicles were needed to control the flames.

Fire crew can be seen walking through the smoke-filled woods with smouldering pockets of fire on the ground, in the video by the fire service above.

A spokesperson said crews attended overnight into Wednesday and the fire was still ongoing. "Further resources are back at the scene this morning," they added.
