'Passengers bring their own seat to bus stops'
North East mayor Kim McGuinness has been in BBC Radio Newcastle's Hot Seat to respond to listeners' concerns about bus shelters.
A woman from Fellgate criticised the lack of seating at bus stops and said some passengers had resorted to bringing folding stools.
McGuinness said £7.1m had been allocated towards upgrading 325 bus stops across the region, including "major bus hubs" in Stanley, Alnwick and Dalton Park.
