Motorcyclist dies following collision with car

A 48-year-old motorcyclist has died after a collision with a car.

The incident took place on Clacton Road in Manningtree on Wednesday at about 15:45 BST, Essex Police said.

The road was closed for several hours while emergency services attended the crash and one passenger was taken to hospital and remains in a "serious but stable condition", the force added.

Officers have appealed for anyone with information to get in touch with them.
