Attempted murder charge over woman stabbed at home

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was stabbed in her home.

The woman, who is in her 30s, was found with "a number of stab wounds" at a property on Warwick Street in Church, on Sunday morning, Lancashire Police said.

She was taken to hospital for treatment, where she remains in in a serious but stable condition, the force said.

Pawel Skros, 39, of Warwick Street in Church, has been charged with attempted murder and appeared at Blackburn Magistrates Court on Wednesday, where he was remanded to appear at Preston Crown Court on 15 April.
