Man in court over attempted armed robbery
BBCA man has appeared in court in connection with an alleged attempted armed robbery in an Aberdeenshire town.
Police Scotland said staff in a shop on Strait Path, Banff, were threatened with a weapon.
The incident is understood to have involved a knife.
Jamie Dingwall, 34, appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court, charged with assault, attempted robbery, and having a blade or point in public.
He made no plea and was remanded in custody.
