A man who filmed himself driving and showed his car close to pedestrians showed a complete disregard for other people's safety, police said.

Mohamad Almustafa, 23, of Kingsland in Telford, Shropshire was given a 12-month driving ban and a community order after admitting a charge of dangerous driving.

He was arrested as part of an operation targeting car cruising in Shropshire after he posted video of his driving online, West Mercia Police said.

PC Mark Smith said as well as disregarding safety by sharing the footage he was contributing "to a culture that endangers communities, puts lives at risk, and damages the reputation of responsible motorists".

The court heard how in March officers discovered videos showing Almustafa driving his BMW dangerously in Halesfield in Telford, West Mercia Police said.
