A bus stop was damaged in a suburb of Derby after it was hit by a lorry delivering to a Toby Carvery.

The stop in Chaddesden Lane, Chaddesden, was damaged at 07:00 BST on Tuesday while a Brakes Foodservice lorry was delivering to the restaurant.

The council said it was aware of the incident, and bus operator Trentbarton said the clean‑up was being arranged. The 32 service is unaffected, but passengers must use the Reginald Road or Ismay Road stops.

A spokesperson for Brakes Foodservice said: "We sincerely apologise for the damage caused and we will work closely with the relevant authorities to ensure that it is fully addressed and put right."

No pedestrians or other vehicles were involved, the spokesperson added.
