Police cordon off wooded area in Glasgow following report of rape

The rape is alleged to have happened in Warroch Street

Police are investigating a rape in the Broomielaw area of Glasgow.

They were called to the incident in Warroch Street at about 10:45 on Wednesday.

A wooded area of the road has been cordoned off and officers are at the scene, which is near a building site.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Inquiries are ongoing and at an early stage."
