Two divers were rescued off the coast of Norfolk after their boat was unable to reach them.

Both of Wells RNLI's boats launched on Sunday afternoon after reports that a dive vessel had suffered engine failure about three nautical miles at sea while the pair were diving to see shipwrecks at the Blakeney Overfalls sandbank.

With the vessel immobile, two divers were left in the water, but were quickly recovered and needed no medical treatment, Wells RNLI said.

The dive boat was towed back to Wells Harbour, it added.
