A woman has denied murdering a man who was found unresponsive in a public park.

Suffolk Police found Gary Grant in Sparrow's Nest Gardens in Lowestoft at about 22:15 GMT on 20 March.

The 54-year-old was treated by emergency services before being pronounced dead.

At Ipswich Crown Court, Amber Stebbings, 28, of no fixed address, pleaded not guilty to murder and a trial date was scheduled for 9 November.

"I will be here," said Stebbings when warned by Judge Samantha Leigh of the repercussions of not attending the trial.

The police previously said that a cause of death had not been confirmed and an initial post-mortem examination concluded further investigation was needed.
