Man to appear in court over death of woman in Hawick

A 39-year-old man is due to appear in court over the death of a woman in the Scottish Borders.

Stacey Hogg, 35, was found dead in a house on McLagan Drive in Hawick at about 07:20 on Thursday. The man was arrested and charged.

Police Scotland said her death was being treated as suspicious and her family has asked for privacy.

The man is expected to appear at Selkirk Sheriff Court later.
