Man charged after object sparks evacuation
GoogleHomes were evacuated and a man was arrested after a "suspicious device" was found in a property.
Cambridgeshire Police sent Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) officers to an address in Cathwaite, Paston, Peterborough, on Wednesday evening.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Nearby residents were evacuated as a precaution, and the EOD later confirmed the device was not viable."
They added that no explosive material was found and no property was damaged.
A 46-year-old man from Peterborough was arrested and later charged with threatening to destroy/damage property.
