Two teenagers have been arrested following a collision involving a motorcycle and a car.

The crash happened at the junction of Moorside Road and Harrogate Road in Bradford at about 15:45 BST on Wednesday and left one boy with a serious leg injury and the other with minor injuries, West Yorkshire Police said.

Police said the motorcycle had been sighted by officers just prior to the collision and had failed to stop.

The teenagers, both 17, were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, failing to stop for officers and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. One of the boys was also arrested for assaulting a police officer.

Both teenagers were taken to hospital at the time but one of them has since been discharged, interviewed and released under investigation, police said on Thursday.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant footage to come forward.
