A trapped lorry driver has been rescued by fire crews after his vehicle overturned.

The incident took place near the Baynards Green roundabout at the junction of the A43 and B4100 in Oxfordshire at about 17:15 BST on Saturday.

The driver sustained minor injuries and was unable to get out of the lorry, Oxfordshire Fire & Rescue Service said. They were rescued by firefighters from Bicester, Banbury, and Kidlington.

A road closure was in place during the rescue operation.

Thames Valley Police and South Central Ambulance Service were also in attendance, and a local recovery firm removed the vehicle.

"This incident was a fantastic example of our blue light partners working together to achieve a successful outcome," the fire service said.
