Cordon in place after 'bomb-shaped object' found
BBCA 100m (328ft) cordon remains in place after a "bomb-shaped object" was discovered in Plymouth.
Devon and Cornwall Police were notified at about 12:30 BST to a report of the discovery of "an unknown device" by contractors at Colesdown Hill, near Elburton, in Plymouth.
A spokesman for the Royal Navy said the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) squad had confirmed it was not a bomb and had now left the site.
Police said the cordon had been put in place "as a precaution".
