Man City parade to celebrate club's success
PA MediaManchester City has announced an open-top bus parade and a separate "after party" to mark the club's success this season, after winning the FA Cup and the Women's Super League (WSL) trophy.
It comes after a stunning goal by Antoine Semenyo sealed the men's FA Cup win over Chelsea at Wembley while the women ended Chelsea's six-year run as WSL champions.
The club said the celebrations on 25 May would mark the achievements of the men's, women's and academy teams.
It said the parade build-up would start at Manchester's Northern Quarter from 16:00 BST before finishing outside the Colin Bell Stand reception at the Etihad Stadium, with doors to The After Party at Co-op Live closing at 17:00.
PA MediaThe club is also celebrating lifting the FA Youth Cup on Thursday following a 2-1 win over Manchester United at the Joie Stadium.
City said tickets were not required for the parade but The After Party was a ticketed event with live music and player interviews from both men's and women's teams.
Fans will be able to join the celebrations along various points of the parade route - which sets off from the Northern Quarter at 17:00 and heads through Ancoats and on to Ashton New Road before finishing at the Etihad Stadium - or purchase tickets for the event at Co-op Live which will show the parade with players due to arrive at about 18:30.
Tickets will be available from Monday with the club saying further updates on both events would be announced on its website.
