Man charged over young couple's death in crash
Police ScotlandA man has been charged after a young couple died in a crash in Aberdeenshire in December.
Jay Morrison and Bethany Wilson, both 24, died in the collision - involving their Vauxhall Corsa and a Land Rover Evoque - on the A952 between Toll of Birness and Mintlaw at Clola.
Their families said at the time that the couple were planning for their future together.
Police Scotland said a 62-year-old man had been arrested and charged, and was the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal.
Morrison was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on 6 December.
His family, who described him as an "adventurer at heart", said the couple had "huge plans" for the future.
Wilson was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary but died from her injuries.
Her family said she had attended Longside Primary School and Ellon Academy.
The University of Strathclyde graduate had been about to start a new job in Aberdeen.
