Councillors have approved plans for 94 homes on former RAF land in Lewis.

Developer Calmax has proposed a phased development of semi-detached houses near Stornoway Airport.

Work has already started on 34 properties on part of the site.

A meeting of Comhairle nan Eilean Siar considered the latest plans and granted permission, subject to conditions. Objections to the project include that the land is not zoned for housing.
