Teenage boys arrested over 'racist attack' bailed
GoogleSix teenagers arrested after a 72-year-old man was hurt in what police said they were treating as a racially aggravated attack have been released on bail.
West Midlands Police said it had stepped up patrols around Willenhall Memorial Park, near Wolverhampton, after the assault, which happened about 18:00 BST on 24 May.
Four other people were also attacked in the incident, the force said. The victim suffered injuries to his face and arm and needed hospital treatment, but was later discharged.
The boys, aged between 16 and 18, have been bailed pending further inquiries and the force said officers were "meeting with key members in the community to reassure them and listen to their concerns".
