The crash happened near The Thames Head Inn near Cirencester

A man has died following a motorbike crash in the Cotswolds, police say.

Emergency services were called to the single-vehicle crash near Cirencester on the A433 Tetbury Road, near The Thames Head Inn, shortly before midday on Sunday.

The man, aged in his 60s, from Stroud and who was riding a red Honda NC750X motorbike, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gloucestershire Police said the man's next of kin had been informed and were urging witnesses or anyone with relevant information or dashcam footage to get in touch.

Closures put in place to allow collision investigation work to take place have since been lifted, the force added.
