Student flats plan for former mill approved
DldesignstudioPlans to convert an old mill in Nottingham into student flats have been approved.
An application was lodged to turn Damad House, on the corner of Radford Road and Egypt Road in New Basford, into 71 student accommodation units.
According to design and access statements submitted as part of the plans, the site will have 136 bed spaces spread across 11 "cluster flats" with 76 beds, 57 studio flats and three accessible apartments.
The proposal was approved at a city council planning committee meeting on Thursday.
The approval of the development is subject to conditions, such as the creation of a "construction traffic management plan".
