Radio host in court over historical rape

A Staffordshire radio presenter has appeared in court accused of raping a woman 11 years ago.

Stuart Michael Haycock, from Stafford, is charged with intentional penetration without consent, relating to an alleged offence in the town in 2015.

The 48-year-old appeared at Cannock Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

He was granted unconditional bail and a date has been set for his next appearance at Stafford Crown Court on 1 September.
