Three people have been arrested following the "unexplained" death of a woman found at a property in Cornwall, police have said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said three people from Falmouth were released under investigation after being arrested on suspicion of intentionally doing an act capable of encouraging or assisting the death of another, a charge under section 2 of the Suicide Act 1961.

Police said officers were called at about 09:05 BST on Tuesday following concerns over the death of a woman in her 70s found in a property in Conway Road in the town.

The force said the three people arrested were a man in his 40s, a man in his 60s and a woman in her 30s, all from Falmouth.

Her next of kin has been made aware and inquiries to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the death were ongoing, police added.
