Woman hurt in hit and run by van she tried to stop
CCTV footage has captured the moment a woman was struck by a van as she attempted to confront men who are thought to have targeted her business in Shropshire.
Rebecca Davies, 33, was knocked over as she attempted to stop the men leaving the scene on Maesbury Road, Oswestry, on Monday.
She said she was not seriously hurt and got away with "bruises and scratches," while her partner Dan, who was also there, suffered a black eye and a headache.
West Mercia Police said officers were investigating.
Davies said a neighbour called and told her the men had been seen taking items from her house clearance business and she wanted to prevent them from doing it again.
"We then caught up with them near another business which has also been targeted previously."
But she said the men in the van "didn't want to be caught" and drove into the pair of them.
"How anyone can dismiss someone's life for the sake of stealing is beyond me," she said.
Davies added: "I have an honest life, my meaning in life is my family and my business.
"Why did I deserve this?"
West Mercia Police confirmed it had received a report of a robbery at a business on Maesbury Road in Oswestry on Monday and said an investigation was ongoing.
