Classic car show raises thousands for charities
BBCA Devon car show bringing together families, petrolheads and charity volunteers is expected to raise thousands for good causes.
Nick Hindmarsh, chair of the organising committee for the Totnes Classic Vehicle Show at Staverton on Sunday, said the event meant more than just polished engines and vintage models.
"It's really important for us and for everyone participating to use their own individual passions with their cars, their love of motoring over the decades to get together, have fun and raise money for good causes."
Hindmarsh said the event brought people of all ages together for a shared day out, adding that it was expected to raise between £6,000 and £7,000 for local causes. He said it was simply "a lovely day out" despite nerves about the weather earlier in the day.
