Pair deny charges after alleged rape of girl, 14

Two men have denied all charges against them in connection with the alleged rape of a 14-year-old girl.

The incident happened at an address in Eastbourne in the early hours of 23 May, Sussex Police said.

On Friday at Lewes Crown Court, Adam Hendrick, 40, from Eastbourne, pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape of a girl aged 13-15, two counts of assault by penetration, and one count of sexual assault.

Miguel Dasilva, 39, from Eastbourne, pleaded not guilty to two counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13-15 and one count of causing or inciting a girl aged 13-15 to engage in sexual activity involving penetration.

Hendrick also pleaded not guilty to one count of causing or inciting a girl aged 13-15 to engage in sexual activity involving penetration.

The trial is expected to start on 16 November.
