A car wash in Wolverhampton could be replaced by 28 new flats

A car wash opposite Molineux Stadium could be demolished to make way for 28 new flats and three homes.

A planning application, sent to City of Wolverhampton Council, said the proposed development "represented a significant visual and environmental improvement to the site".

A six-bed home at Waterloo Road, near the home of Wolverhampton Wanderers, would also be demolished, while a house at Francis Street would be partially demolished to make way for development.

The application said the scheme could improve highway safety and "result in a clear and demonstrable improvement to the site and surrounding area".
