Man charged after viable device found in security alert

Police received a report of a suspicious device in the Feystown Road area

A man has been charged following a security alert in County Antrim.

A viable device was found in the Feystown Road area of Glenarm on Monday.

A 43-year-old man has been charged with doing an act with intent to cause an explosion likely to endanger life or cause serious injury to property and with obstructing police.

He is due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates' Court later on Wednesday.

Police said a 47-year-old man, also arrested in connection with the investigation, has been released.
